JETAANY Book Club: The Woman in the Purple Skirt

The JETAANY Book Club is open to anyone with an interest in Japan and a love of reading. Please join us for a casual, nonjudgmental discussion. In June we will discuss Natusko Imamura's bestselling, Akutagawa Prize-winning novel The Woman in the Purple Skirt -- a "delightfully disturbing" "tale of slapstick and stalking." By all accounts it's a quick and entertaining read, to be enjoyed by fans of Convenience Store Woman.

NOTE: Our discussion of Lonely Castle in the Mirror has been delayed until further notice to accommodate the U.S. publishing date.
