The Japan English and Teaching (JET) Programme
The JET Programme’s official website. It has resources for aspiring, current, and former JETs as well as an overview and history of the program itself. There is also a dedicated web page for US participants.
An international body which supports and promotes the growth of JETAA alumni chapters around the world by facilitating the exchange of ideas and information and helping them build networks and connections to each other. They also have a comprehensive list of chapters with an online presence around the world.
AJET is an independent, not-for-profit government relations organization that supports JET Programme participants in cooperation with the Council for Local Authorities and International Relations, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Internal Communication. Prefectures in Japan have their own local AJET organizations.
Created by a JET alumni working group and JET alumni association leaders to serve alumni in the United States through its unique role as a national nonprofit organization, the mission of USJETAA is to support the JET alumni community through the 19 individual chapters across the country and strengthen the U.S.-Japan relationship via educational, cultural, and intellectual programs serving the alumni network
Not to be confused with USJETAA, supports the JET Program, the US chapters and membership, with Country Representatives elected each year who provide structure, connectivity, and support to the US chapters while liaising between Japanese government officials and the chapters around the country.
An online community for JET alumni which serves as a library of things written or created by JET alums, a place to publish and/or promote and/or bring attention to things created by or accomplished by JET alum, a source of job listings relevant to alum and more.
Japan Local Government Center (CLAIR NY)
CLAIR’s activities include research into best practices in public administration around the world, arranging exchanges and meetings between public officials at the subnational level, assisting local community and economic development efforts, fostering a multicultural society in Japan, and supporting the JET alumni. They have offices in New York City.
