Hanami with the NJ Subchapter at Branch Brook Park (Sat, 4/15)

It's that time of year again - hanami season! Join the NJ Subchapter for a picnic under the sakura at Branch Brook Park in Newark on Saturday, April 15th from noon to 2 pm. Bring a bento and a blanket to sit on and enjoy catching up with your fellow alumni and Friends of JET!

We plan on gathering around the intersection of Mill St. and Branch Brook Park Dr. along the bank of the Second River; however, the exact location will depend upon space availability, as the park may be crowded. Please look for the big green and white NJ Subchapter flag. Exact coordinates will be posted once the spot is secured the day-of, but in the meantime, these coordinates can be used as a rough estimate:

If driving, you can park anywhere inside the park on both sides of the road behind the white lines. If there is no white line, there is no parking in that location. There is also a light rail station near the park (Park Avenue Newark Light Rail Station).
