Autumn Stroll in Historic Green-Wood Cemetery (Sun, 11/3)

Date: Sunday, November 3, 2024

Time: 2:00 pm until our feet are tired!

Location: Meet at Green-Wood’s main gate at 5th Avenue & 25th Street (take the R train to Brooklyn)

Details: “Permanent residence” to countless notable figures from Louis Comfort Tiffany to Boss Tweed to Jean-Michel Basquiat to Townsend Harris (first U.S. Consul General to Japan!), Green-Wood Cemetery’s 478 acres of grounds also feature endless flora and fauna. Join wannabe-tour guide and Green-Wood neighbor Christy Jones (Nagasaki, 1995-98) for a casual walk around the cemetery.  Be sure to wear comfortable walking clothes and shoes, cameras and binoculars optional! To make your trek to Brooklyn worthwhile, we can stop for a slice at Luigi’s Pizza and enjoy a drink at Sea Witch Tavern afterwards.

RSVP: FREE, but please fill out this form if you are a YES or MAYBE. Let others know you are attending on the Facebook event page.
