JETAANY 30th Anniversary Photo Contest
JETAANY is hosting a photo contest as part of our chapter's 30th anniversary! We are opening this contest to all JETAANY members, regardless of when you went on JET. Doesn’t matter if you were in Japan in 1989, 2006 or are still there! We want to help our alumni to help share their best memories and photos of Japan throughout the long history of the JET Program
2020 has been a turbulent year, and with travel restricted, many of us have been looking through old photos of our lives in Japan on the JET Programme. Now’s the time to put them to good use and help celebrate 30 years of JETAANY!
Once entries close, we’ll open up the voting online and winners will be chosen. Winners will receive prints of their photos on canvas.
We are accepting entries beginning today, September 10 through October 6
We have four categories. Entrants can submit to as many categories they like, but can only submit one entry per category. Please ensure that the image is of decent size and quality. For older entries, photographs do not have to be digital, a clear photo of the photograph is good to submit, but if you were to win, JETAANY would digitally scan the photo for printing.
The Categories are:
School Life
Places
Nature
Culture (Life in Japan)
You are free to interpret the categories however you like. Photos do not have to exclusively be from your time on the JET Programme, and can be from any of your time or trips spent to Japan

If people are prominently featured in your photograph, we ask you do your best to get their permission for the contest.

VOTING
After the submission deadline, photos will be presented to the public in a shared album, and voting will commence from 9 – 25 October.
PRIZES
Winners will be announced on 30th October, 2020.
The winner of each category (Places, Nature, Culture, School Life) will receive a printed canvas (8 '' x 12'') of their winning photo, as well as being featured on our social media channels.
