Call for 2019 JETAA Executive Officer & Committee Leader Platforms

Fill out the google form or e-mail a platform by Sunday, March 24, 2019, at midnight to elections@jetaany.org to run for an officer or committ position.

JETAANY is looking for leaders, organizers, and awesome alumni to help grow the chapter. We are accepting platforms by email, or by the google form below. Share what makes you a good candidate and how you can take JETAANY to the next level.

Available Executive Board Positions:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary

We are also looking for Committee Leaders to help host various events and other leadership roles. Below are a few committee positions but we are alwasy looking for new ideas!

  • Nihongo Dake Events
  • Trivia
  • Social gatherings (happy hour, exploring NYC events, hiking, day trips, etc.)
  • Supporting departing JETs
  • Career/professional networking
  • We are open to many more committee suggestions!

Positions are held for one year starting April 1 and ending March 31 the following year. Position descriptions for Executive Board positions are on the JETAANY website.

If you wish to be considered for a JETAANY executive officer position or be a committee leader, please fill out the google form below by Monday, March 25, 2019. In accordance with our bylaws, the selection of Executive Officers will be made by the Board of Directors based on the platforms that are received. Results will be announced on April 1.

If you're interested in getting involved but aren't sure how to connect with JETAANY contact Monica at monica.yuki@jetaausa.com on the JETAANY Board of Directors.  We are always looking for volunteers to help with planning our larger events like the Pre-Departure Seminar and the Career Forum as well as our monthly happy hours, Nihongo Dake gatherings, karaoke nights, yukata crawl, book club, running outings, sub-chapter meet-ups, craft and cooking nights, career-related programming and much more! We'd also love people to help us with behind-the-scenes tasks like managing databases, grant writing, budgeting, designing programs, updating the website and social media, etc.
