(1/29) JET Alumni Virtual Town Hall on U.S.-Japan Relations

We are excited to join Sasakawa USA and USJETAA for its inaugural town hall discussion featuring a conversation between Dr. Sheila Smith (Senior Fellow for Japan Studies, Council of Foreign Relations) and Mr. James “Jim” Gannon (Executive Director, Japan Center for International Exchange). Dr. Smith and Mr. Gannon will explore trends in people-to-people exchanges between the United States in Japan, as well as introduce recent educational initiatives and programs cultivating the next generation of leaders in U.S.-Japan relations. The event aims to serve the JET alumni in the United States, who represent a network of 30,000 Americans who possess a nuanced understanding and enthusiasm for Japan, by updating them on current issues and developments within U.S.-Japan relations.

The event will be live-streamed, and JETAANY will be hosting a viewing party in NYC. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions online.

Where: Japan Local Government Center, 3 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10016 (Map)
