Ashley was born and raised in New Jersey and has a B.F.A in Animation and Illustration from Montclair State University. She studied Japanese for four years in high school prior to becoming an ALT in Kyotanabe City. Her goal as Language Chair is to continue studying the Japanese language alongside fellow japanophiles and the local Japanese community, fostering an environment of open communication and passionate, continued learning.
