Shunzo Ohno Runner Album Release

An award-winning songwriter and composer, ShunzoOhno is regarded as one of the most innovative and influential trumpeters today. His work with jazz legends Gil Evans, Art Blakey and Wayne Shorter combines hisfresh vibrance with a tapestry of soulful inspiring grooves, not to be missed. Runner, his 18th album as a leader, kicks off with a four-piece symphonic suite aptlytitled “Epic,” which takes major cues from Evans as it unleashes Ohno’scaptivating mastery as a trumpeter over his dynamic symphonic vision. Like allof Ohno’s recordings, Runner is an ode to perseverance, and bold strength withcinematic currents of fearless life force.
