Discover the relationship between Japan and the United States , past and present. Explore cultural perceptions of Westerners by examining Japanese images from the 1850s, illustrating an industrial and international Japan . Examine Penn Museum \’s Japanese materials and resources for your classroom. Learn how to convey knowledge and understanding of Japan to your students as teachers from the Phila-Nipponica Project present tangible ways to integrate Japan into the curriculum. This event is designed for educators, but the general public is also invited to attend.
