  • <div class="at-above-post-cat-page addthis_tool" data-url="https://jetaany.org/2011/04/06/april-5-fundraiser-a-success/"></div>The JET Alumni Association of New York, in partnership with NY de Volunteer, raised approximately $10,700 during our three-hour Fundraiser for Japan on Tuesday night at Slate in Midtown! There were 300 people in attendance who purchased nearly $4000 worth of raffle tickets! It was a fun-filled night attended by JET Alumni, college students, Japanese expatriates living in New York, and members of the Japanese press.   The event started promptly at 6:30, with many attendees arriving early. By 7:00 pm, there was already a line outside Slate. In attendance were reporters from Fuji TV, TV Tokyo, NHK, Bi-Daily Sun New York, and the Asahi Shimbun who took footage and interviewed guests.     April 5 Fundraiser Raises Over $10,000!
