When: Sunday, October 28. Event runs from 11am – 4pm, with three volunteer shift options.
Full shift: 9:30 AM – 5 PM
AM shift: 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM
PM shift: 1 PM – 5 PM

Explore Japan’s ghost world this Halloween! Party with kooky yokai and shape-shifting obake creatures in this family-friendly spookfest.  Kids of all ages can come in costume and enjoy the thrills and chills of Halloween and the delights of fall festival—Japan-style!—with a live foley performance, spooky animated short films, a kid-friendly haunted house, scary stories, festival games and more!

JETs and friends are invited to help work the activities which include a live foley performance on the mainstage, traditional Japanese festival games, monster mask-making & other crafts, a 3D trick art photobooth, a haunted house, and more!

Volunteer roles:
Live Foley Performance and Spooky Short Films in Theater: Usher
Festival Games: Help kids play the games and give them prizes
Monster mask making or another craft station: Help kids make masks or crafts
Ticket takers at entrance (take tickets, pass out programs, give information on event)
3D Trick Art Photobooth: ask waiting crowds to form a line, offer to take family pictures
Haunted House: Actors to play ghosts and goblins needed, requires attending a practice session before the event

All volunteers will get a free pizza lunch and time to explore the event. Costumes are encouraged!
