Remember preparing your students for speech contests back when you were a JET and how great it felt to see your students improve? Takeshi Miyakoshi is a FOJ here in New York who started a series of seminars for Japanese college students to help them prepare for jobs in business. You can read about the seminar series here (in Japanese): http://isotope-org.com/.
One of the activities they will be having will be preparing a 10-15 minute group speech on Japanese culture, English education in Japan, etc. There will be 7-8 students presenting as two teams. They would like to have some native/fluent English speakers as “judges” to evaluate their presentations.

After the presentations and evaluations which will take one hour, there will be dinner and drinks.

Is Toastmasters a good way to help with public speaking
