What are iNFiNiTY events?
The team at iNFiNiTY hosts monthly events at the trendiest new spots in Harlem. Every few months we change our themes to reflect what’s happening in the pulse of the city. From Halloween parties, summer jams to talent shows we keep it alive in Harlem.
Traditionally Harlem has been known as a Mecca of African American’s culture for more than a century.
But these days the diversity of Harlem has kept pace with the rapid progress of the community. With the development of new condominiums, restaurants, bars and stores Harlem has redefined itself from its less than glorious days of the last few decades.
If you are a trend setter in NYC you will be interested in seeing “What is happening in Harlem†through our iNFiNiTY events. Everyone will have a good time and meet new people in the “New Harlemâ€.
What is YOSAKOI?
YOSAKOI is a unique style of dance that originated in Japan. Yosakoi started in the city of KÅchi in 1954, as a modern rendition of Awa Odori, a traditional summer dance. Yosakoi-style dancing has spread throughout much of Japan. The style of dance is highly energetic, combining traditional Japanese dance movements with modern music. The choreographed dances are often performed by large teams. Along with a number of professional Yosakoi schools and town dance teams, Yosakoi is also a popular event during the sports festivals held by Japanese elementary, junior, and senior high schools. Yosakoi participants include men and women of almost all ages – sometimes within a single team. In the dialect of Tosa province (modern-day KÅchi Prefecture), “yosakoi” means “Come at night.”
Who is “SASSO JAPAN
SASSO JAPAN is one of the biggest YOSAKOI dance teams in Japan. Originally from Kobe Japan, their style is a mix of YOSAKOI and their own SASSO JAPAN style (commonly referred to as ALIVE style). SASSO JAPAN performs in many places in Japan to include performances in Turkey, Portugal, Italy and China etc…
The mission of the SASSO JAPAN team is to create a “Smiley planet on Earth†2010. As long as they keep working hard they should accomplish their mission in 2010.
Philosophy: Energy, Smile, Group Dance, Make New Dance Culture = “ALIVEâ€, Be ONLY ONE.
