JETAA Volunteer Trip to New Orleans: November 1-4, 2007

JETAA Mid-South Chapter is organizing a volunteer opportunity in New Orleans. Please join JETAA members (and family/friends of JETAA) from all over the U.S. as we support the rebuilding efforts in New Orleans. Work days will be Friday, November 2, and Saturday, November 3. We will be volunteering through Lean On Me, Inc. and will know more details about which project we are helping with once we confirm the number of volunteers. Please visit their website for more information:

Thursday, November 1: Volunteers Arrive

Friday, November 2: Work Day

Dinner Reception at the Consul General’s residence

Saturday, November 3: Work Day

Dinner/night out in New Orleans (optional)

Sunday, November 4: Volunteers Depart

Lean On Me, Inc. has housing available for $35/per night/per person. The housing is in a great location and more information can be found on their website. If this expense is a problem, several local JETAA members have offered their homes to house participants (please email or indicate this on your reply form).

Depending on the number of participants, we will try to provide transportation (including to/from the airport, work site, and the Consul General’s residence)

You will be responsible for your transportation to and from New Orleans, housing, meals and entertainment.
