How it all works
Bring your favorite photo from Japan (anything goes – scenery, people, festivals, etc.) based on the theme “Time†– nice and broad and open to interpretation. Outgoing officers will select the top 10 photos to be voted on by the audience and prizes will be given for the top three winners.
Photos must be submitted by 7:15pm to be considered for competition. All in attendance can place a final vote, but only JETAA members can submit photos. Please include your name on the back of the photo if you would like it returned.
Free for JETAA members. $10 for Friends of JET. Includes light refreshments and one drink ticket. RSVP required to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Reservation is under “Japan eventâ€. Closest train station: A/C/E to 14th street. Walk toward the water on 14th street, make a left on Washington street. Map at www.nychighline.com.
About the HighLine
Named for the overgrown railroad trestle it abuts, the theme of the Highline is luxury travel and on-board dining. The décor evokes a cruise ship, complete with a ‘drained swimming pool’. We will be in the Pool Lounge, a trippy subterranean space decked out with bubble chairs and a diving-board bar.
