Special Note:
If you enjoyed the article on JET and the Asian Fetish in the Spring 2003 “Issues” Issue, then you’ll appreciate a very different perspective in the article “The Yellow Fever Pages” by Karen Eng which appeared three years ago in Bitch Magazine. (Also make sure to read the follow up letters to the editor.) Karen gave us permission to link to her article, explaining that her article generated a significant degree of controversy and still results in the occasional e-mail comment to this day.
Karen is a freelance writer and editor. She edits and publishes PekoPeko: a zine about food . She is also currently editing an anthology of essays about friendships between women for feminist publisher Seal Press.
