Role Definition: 
Hitachi America, Ltd. (www.hitachi-america.us) is searching for a Web Strategy, Manager to manage and develop the strategic direction for web activities for Hitachi in the Americas, which includes the U.S., Canada and South America, in accordance with the policies and initiatives of Hitachi headquarters. This individual will be the primary liaison for the Tokyo HQ Web Team as well as the Hitachi Group companies on all web matters relating to web design and brand compliance. The Manager will also be responsible for:
• acting as the Project Lead on HQ web projects and the coordination/management of budget control, timeline, vendor/agency management and HQ compliance procedures
• all cost controls and vendor/agency management in relation to the completion of annual web activities/projects
• overseeing the updates and maintenance of all Hitachi country portals and microsites as well as www.hitachi.us including, all governance and management of web sites and activities in accordance with Hitachi, Ltd.’s branding and design guidelines.
• the coordination and agenda for the annual Brand/Web Manager meeting
This position is supported by the Assistant Manager, BCCG and will report to the Director, BCCG.

Role Qualifications: 
Successful candidates must have demonstrated experience in web marketing and a strong understanding of web design within the B2B industry.  Individuals must also have web experience and prior responsibility for brand compliance in relation to web guidelines.    
• Candidates with Bi-lingual fluency in English and Japanese are strongly preferred
• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Web Design or related field
• 5-8 years of experience in web marketing, specifically related to:
     o Demonstrated success in developing corporate strategic plans and objectives for B2B web initiatives (rather than E-commerce)
     o SEO/SEM, CMS, web analytics and risk management with the ability to analyze data and provide detailed log analysis reports with recommendations for improved results
     o Development of web strategies supporting social media platforms
     o Providing insights, forecasts for development and implementation of strategic web activities
     o Project management of all corporate related web activities including managing outside vendors/agencies
     o Strong understanding of web site structure, site maps, development of wireframes including navigation and arrangement of content from a “usability” point of view
• Understanding of HTML and CSS coding
• Proficient in Web Trends On Demand 9.0 suite of products
• Proficient in full MS Office Suite, Publisher, Visio and Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects under pressure and meet assigned deadlines as required 
• Ability to collaborate and work well with others of varying marketing and technical sophistication
• Excellent written and verbal communications are required.
• Exceptional attention to detail including all procedural reporting for projects
• Willingness and ability to travel within the US and to Japan at least two times per year
• Prior experience working for a Japanese company is preferred
