This is a temporary position beginning in January. Assignment is 3-4 weeks with the possibility for extension for the right person. Full and Part Time available.

A leading Japanese design establishment in Midtown Manhattan is looking for smart, outgoing and presentable Marketing & Sales Associates for its gallery-type showroom in a beautiful townhouse. This position will involve working closely with clients and helping a small team develop and establish business leads that translates into sales. A history of success with proven sales results is a must. Must be able to work weekends and have a flexible attitude. Ideal candidate should have some work experience in the design and sales industry and interest in the Japanese design/culture/products. Japanese language knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Client liaison and develop and help establish business
Day to day operations and marketing activities that include, but not limited to: collection of mark research to help test market products in the US
Assisting with merchandise display, sales, exhibitions and events

Necessary skills include:

• Customer service and client network and development
• Wholesale sales experience, ideally in house ware/gift market for International products
• Excellent record keeping and organization skills to help with sales and market research
• Excellent communications skills and smart presentation are important
A good sense of humor and ability to undertake any and every
task presented on a day-to-day basis.

Salary dependent on experience. ($18-20/hr.)
