About JETAANYThe Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program Alumni Association of New York (JETAANY) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving over 2,000 members in the tri-state area. JET Alumni have all lived and worked in Japan as English teachers in the Japanese Public School System. JETAANY’s mission is to assist returning JETs with acclimating to life and work in New York, foster education and understanding of Japanese culture and strengthen the ties between JET alumni and the Japanese community. We do this through a wide variety of social, cultural, professional and athletic events throughout the year.

We are calling upon our recent alumni to teach and share their experiences to hopefully prevent some surprises or embarrassing moments and make their time in Japan something they will never forget. The Pre-Departure Seminar will be on Saturday, June 23rd from 10:00 am – 3:30pm at the Nippon Club (145 W. 57th Street, between 6th Ave and 7th Ave on the 2nd floor). We’ll have a happy hour from 4 pm onwards nearby which all are welcome to (no need to be a seminar presenter)!
