Global Partnerships for Education, Youth Engagement, and Sustainable Tourism

Members from JETAANY’s executive board recently attended the “Global Partnerships for Education, Youth Engagement, and Sustainable Tourism” event co-sponsored by the Permanent Mission of Palau to the United Nations and Peace Boat.

The forum featured seven distinguished young adults from seven island nations. They discussed what they learned from their time on the Peace Boat and the impact from four of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals: Affordable and Clean Energy, Climate Action, Life Below Water, and Life on Land. Each individual stressed the importance of protecting and preserving the natural biodiversity specifically pertaining to their island nations.
