Japan Day organizers have approached JETAANY about an exciting project! Last August, the Japanese group AKB48 came out with their video “Fortune Cookie in Love”. It sparked an international, viral trend where individuals, companies, and even towns film their own versions of the video and post it to YouTube. To practice the dance ahead of time (though we will be “rehearse” quite a bit on Saturday): http://www.youtube.
To join this global trend, Japan Day organizers are creating a New York version and have invited JETAANY to be a part of it! It’ll consist of mimicking 10 seconds of dance moves from the video in Times Square and in Columbus Circle. You can either wear a plain colorful t-shirt (no logo, etc.), wear a JETAANY T-shirt (if you have it) or we have (a few) t-shirts to borrow.
