Brooklyn Bridge Park Picnic

Let everyone know your going and get last minute updates on Facebook

FACEBOOK INVITE

Summer’s end is just around the corner. So before we trade in our shorts and tees for jackets and sweatpants, let us enjoy summer one last time by checking out the Smorgasburg Flea Market at Brooklyn Bridge Park and have ourselves a picnic. The flea market will have quality food, drinks and merchandise you can buy to satisfy your need to stuff yourself while getting your shopping fix. It’s a great opportunity to help support local vendors and businesses here in the city. More info on the Brooklyn Flea Smorgasburg visit (www.brooklynflea.com/markets/smorgasburg-dumbo)
Jason and Reggie will get there early to find a good place to set up a picnic. It would be nice if a few others can come early to help us snag the perfect spot and bring extra picnic blankets. We can grab some grub and drinks from the flea market at the flea market and chill and the picnic spot. I highly encourage bringing some sort of card or party game you want to share.

There are also other things you can do at Brooklyn Bridge Park. For example, there is kayaking, volleyball, Frisbee, football, outdoor gallery and etc… You can check all out (http://www.brooklynbridgepark.org/) for more information.

Directions
There are several ways you can get to Brooklyn Bridge Park depending on where you live, but the fastest and most convenient method is via Subway, but here are the lists of trains and/or buses you can take:

Subway
– A/C train to High Street
– 2/3 train to Clark Street
– F train to York Street

Bus
B25 to Fulton Ferry Landing (by pier 1)
B63 to One Brooklyn Bridge Park (by Pier 6)

Other Modes of Transportation
Bicycle: I believe there are certain places at the park where you can park your bicycle. There are also rental booths you can go to if you decided to rent a bicycle

Ferry: For those who want to traverse the seven seas taking a ferry is also an option. The Easter River Ferry or Water Taxi can get you there.

If you have any questions please email Reginald “Reggie” Spence (spence1400@gmail.com) or Jason Kulish (jkulish@gmail.com). Please feel free to invite others if you like, but keep in mind if we do have 20+ people coming we will have to divide the group to comply with park rules and regulations. Hope to see you guy there!
