JAPAN DAY @ Central Park
Stop by and see the JETAANY members volunteering
at the Yo-Yo Balloon Tent
Sunday, May 12th
On Sunday May 12th, JETAANY and the Japan Society will be hosting the Yo-Yo Fishing Balloon Tent at Japan Day in Central Park.
We’ll be helping visitors “fish” for Yo-Yo Balloons and need volunteers to assist in many areas of the booth – including greeting the guests, explaining the game, prepping water balloons and assisting children with fishing for balloons.
All volunteers will get a delicious bento lunch, a drink and a free Japan Day t-shirt, plus meet tons of fun people and teach the NYC community a fun Japanese festival game.
Volunteers are needed for two shifts:
#1 Morning 8am-12:30pm
#2 Afternoon 12pm-5pm
Volunteer spots are FULL
Come join the planning meeting and help prepare thousands of the fishing hooks that are needed for the game. On Thursday 5/9 we’ll be meeting at the JLGC at 6pm. Everyone welcome even if you can’t make Japan Day. RSVP to Monica
