As the New Year is coming next month, we will learn about the Japanese New Year’s traditional meal Osechi-Ryori. It is a very colorful dish and Osechi recipes prepared at Japanese homes vary from region to region. This time we will cook and taste some typical food: Namasu (a Japanese New Year’s Salad), Datemaki (a sweet rolled omelette) and Ozoni (a Japanese soup containing mochi rice cakes).
