Japanese Folk Dance, Bon Odori Class

Ms. Momo Suzuki, the founder and director of the Japanese Folk Dance Institute of New
York, Inc. will be teaching Bon Odori class. She has been performing and teaching Japanese folk
dance in the U.S. and Japan for more than 40 years. Ms. Suzuki and her company have
performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Using her extensive knowledge and experience in the performing arts, she has served as
technical advisor and choreographer to both American and Japanese productions such
as Pokemon’s 10th Anniversary in NYC, the movie “Winter Butterfly”, and the stage
performance of “The Crane Wife”.

On the same day, the Obon Odori festival will be from 6pm at Mitsuwa Japanese Supermarket in
New Jersery. Try out your new dance skills with Ms. Suzuki after the class,! Yukata rental is available for $10.
