When the cherry trees blossom, it means that Spring has come!

Please join JETAA NY, along with JETAA Philadelphia, and JETAA NJ, as we celebrate sakura season in our very own Philadelphia. Subaru, in conjunction with the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia, hosts a fantastic Cherry Blossom Festival throughout March and April.

Perhaps the most celebrated of the festival events is Sakura Sunday, Philadelphia’s own o-hanami, held on Sunday April 5th. The day will feature live music, dance performances, martial arts demonstrations, tea ceremony presentations, origami & calligraphy workshops, shiatsu massage, Japanese food, basically all the things we know, love, and miss about traditional Japanese culture. For more information, visit: www.phillycherryblossom.org.

Our group will be gathering from 11AM between the stage and martial arts demonstration area (somewhat to the right of the stage if you’re facing it with your back to the martial arts demonstration). Ambassador Nishimiya will be stopping by to greet our group from 11:30 so arrive early if you can. NJTransit and several bus companies provide service between New York and Philadelphia.
