Yanagi’s work is about the psychology of people, and this is reflected in subsequent series such as My Grandmothers which brings to the fore ideas that young people have about ageing, and Fairytales, a series of hauntingly dark images of reworked Fairytales, which depict children assuming the guise of both young and old characters in strange indoor settings which are loaded with symbolism.  To read an interview with the artist, please click here: http://www.jca-online.com/yanagi.html
